Near-line printing: gain agility without changing every line at once
A pragmatic step to internalise part of the printing operation without immediately integrating a module on every existing line.

When direct on-line integration is not yet desired or an intermediate step is needed, near-line printing allows printed reels to be produced internally, on demand, reducing dependency on external lead times.

Key points
Frequent problem
Many pre-printed references, increasingly small batch sizes, obsolete printed stock, supplier lead times. Hapa contribution: printing closer to the line eliminates printed stock, obsolescence, waste and improves responsiveness. Points of attention: validate the ink/substrate pair thoroughly. Hapa carries out complete ink adhesion tests before and after sealing on aluminium and on new generations of mono-material blisters.
Industrial benefits
Reduced pre-printed stock, better responsiveness, less obsolescence on evolving references, logistic optimisation potential.
Points to verify
Substrate/ink compatibility, print stability, expected throughput, quality constraints, cleaning, maintenance, operator organisation.
Quality and validation
Substrate/ink qualification and industrial validation remain structuring steps. They must be anticipated from the outset.
Every application requires a dedicated technical analysis and a validation aligned with the site’s industrial context.
